After working hard on a fic, many writers look for feedback from other members. In this post, I'm going to try my best to show how to give a good review Here are just some basic pointers: - Things like "Awesome!" or "Keep it coming!" are all nice things to say, but it doesn't really tell the writer very much. Try to write at least a few setences telling the writer WHY it was awesome and WHY they should keep it coming. - Show CONSTRUCTIVE critisism. Simple "That story sucked" or "Man, I hate this story" will NOT be allowed. It's okay if there's things in a story that you don't like, but explain why you don't like them. This is about helping a writer...not bashing them. Telling them that they suck doesn't help them at all. It will only discourage them and that's the last thing that should happen at this board. - This one is for writers: ALWAYS thank your reviewers. They took time to read your story and deserve gratitude, whether they are praising you or giving constructive critisism. ...well, there you go...now you know how to review!!
