How long have YOU been watching Days?

I thought this would be a nice little thread to make, it is about how long you have been watching Days of Our Lives.

I have been watching it for just about forty one years, I was like three years old when it started, but I still remember the first episode where Julie shoplifted!!!

How long have you all been watching Days?

I've watched since 2001. My first episode was the Last Blast where the naked pictures of Chloe were posted and I automatically had an interest in Jan. I pretty much watched just for her. After she left in 2002, I quit watching. When I saw previews for the Salem Stalker story in 2003, I started watching again and was so pleased when Jan returned around that time. I stopped watching again for about half of 2005, but returned when I heard that that dreadful Alex North story ended.

I've been watching since 1992, with a big gap in the Langan years and pretty much Higleys run and big parts of JER's second run. I'm not too sure if I like Sheffer yet, but will give it a shot. Days always had great pyschos like Vivian, Kristen, Nurse Lynn, Nurse Ali, Gina von Amburg, Nicole and of course Jan.

I can imagine the gaps that you had lol. But here are just my opinons on the writers:

Langan- I actually liked him. I mean, we've got to give him SOME credit. He created Jan Spears!! lol

Higley- Ugh. I'll give you her. She wreaked.

JER's Second Run- I quit watching after Jan left. Didn't return til the gloved hand story.

Sheffer- I think he's great. Hopefully he'll turn JER's crap around!
