Before I tell my answer, I want everyone to know that I LOVE JAN!! I love both actress' dearly.
That being said, Heather Olson was the one who got me hooked on Days. For two years, she kept me glued to my TV screen daily. Then, when she came back, she got me re-hooked. When she left I wanted to quit watching, but I was really addicted to the Marlena storyline by then (it was right after she almost "killed" John). By the time Heather Lindell's Jan had Shawn in the cage, my love for Jan Spears returned. Now I realize that if there were ever a suitable replacement for Olson, it's Lindell!

Sorry Tyler, I can't play favorites with this one, I loved them both in the role!!
Jan needs to come out of her coma and mess with Shawn and Mimi!!

Now would be the perfect time for the writers to bring Jan back into the mix...can you imagine how pissed she'd be to find Mimi and Shawn together!!!

But I'd actually like to see Jan fall out of love with Shawn. After Shawn yelled at her at the military base when Philip was leaving at the begining of this year, Jan said that he'd pay because no one "turned her down" like that. I think it would be fun to watch her try and kill him. |

Lindell pretty much for me but I like Olson. I even am writing a fanfic that has Lindell as Jan and Olson as her twin sister who is also devious!

It is a great idea to have Lindell and Olson both on there. ...Or I was thinking just to add to Jan's craziness, Heather Lindell's Jan could look into the mirror and Heather Olson's Jan would be staring back at her, telling her to do bad things. |

OOooh that seems neat. Also if you want to read my fic go to SON (Soap Opera Network) where I am known as daysfan, I have a blog that doesn't actually have dialogue but its pretty close. Jan doesn't come in until Episode 7 but that has already been written and submitted along with alot of other Episodes that have Jan in them and I forgot where Olson comes into the mix but she has been on several Episodes.
And I like the mirror idea, it would be great to have Lindell and Olson both on the show.

You know, I was just thinking about this yesterday, and even though I probably will say Lindell on the outside, but deep down I don't think I could EVER choose between Lindell or Olson, it would be wayyyyyyy to hard because I loved both actresses very very much and have been so mad at Corday and JER for letting them both go, it was so idiotic.

Yep..exactly. And when you think about it, both actress' pretty much did their best for the writing that they were given. Heather Olson's portrayal from 99-02 was dead on of a troubled girl who schemed because of her horrible parents, and then in 03-04 she did her best to make all of the "killing" Victor stuff work. When Lindell came on, Jan was pretty much at her craziest and she did her best to play that. |
